peter 07e0990ecf design(files): the one-library round in the lab — aligned list columns, the tray, the done notice
The Files page replaces the Downloads page: list rows with one column per value kind and a
right-click menu, an app-wide download tray, a done notice that copies the link. Picked
variants are logged in DESIGN.md.

peter 4aaaaa7860 chore(comments): drop epic, sprint and review-round ids from the code
The code cited its plan instead of saying why: `E28 review J4`, `(R6 S3b)`, `S1 justified…`,
`deep-review round 5`. That plan lives in the private ops repo, so for every reader of this one the
citation was noise, and a sentence whose subject was the plan step ("round 2 showed…") hid its
lesson behind an id. Each one is gone and the "why" kept: a bare citation is deleted, a sentence
carrying a lesson is reworded around it ("a later attempt showed…").

Measured (`scripts/audit_metrics.py`, product code): 652 lines in 270 files carried an epic code by
the definition the next commit holds (507 / 241 by the old, two-digit-only one) -> 0. Across all
code, tests, scripts and configs: ~1100 epic-code lines plus ~320 sprint/round ids.

Behaviour unchanged, checked mechanically: every changed .py file has the same AST once docstrings
are blanked; css/sh/toml/yml/json files are identical once comments are stripped; the only
non-comment changes in TS/JS are test titles, one description string in a contract table, and five
ESLint messages, whose text is all the gates snapshot diff holds. Not touched: Markdown (docs and
the changelog keep their history), Alembic migrations, TV episode notation (`S2 · E5`), DESIGN.md
ids (`C1`, `B4`, `S3h`), tracker ids (`SEC-16`, `DX-17`).

One stale claim fixed on the way: test_hls_reaper's docstring said the player checkpoints "every
10 s whether or not it is playing", which plex/stream.py calls wrong; it now says what the code does.

peter c47c193ad1 feat(design): glass surfaces by role, the static Badge, LinkButton, user pickers on the Combobox (E28 S3d1) 2026-09-25 00:34:35 +02:00
peter 9c4a999e54 feat(design): C5 recorded, every E28 decision taken
The owner's lean Plex control set with both refinements (Back by position,
a touch double-tap for the 10 s skip) goes into DESIGN.md's Players
chapter and the log. The lab is now the reference only.

peter 477271907e feat(design): batch A recorded, batch B in the design lab (E28 S2b)
DESIGN.md: the Controls chapter decided (A1-A6) with the decision-log rows;
density stays open as B1. The lab keeps only the chosen A renderings as
reference and adds batch B: density, the scheme set (measured accent hue
gaps and light contrast), state layers, the page-chrome model, surface per
role, the public watch page, the nav rail, the loading form and where the
header + fade edge goes.

peter d2e40dcffb feat(design): design lab + DESIGN.md skeleton (E28 S2a)
- docs/DESIGN.md: the written source of truth for the UI. Decided chapters
(principles, device adaptation, action placement, text stays selectable,
interaction rules, copy, anti-patterns, decision log); controls and
surfaces are marked Pending until the owner picks from the lab.
- /design-lab (dev only): renders each open decision's variants with the
app's real CSS, themes and font scale. Batch A = six control decisions.
- devOnlyGuard: a production build fails if anything under src/design-lab
reaches the bundle (seen red with an unguarded import).
- Size contract: tablet portrait + landscape and up, replacing the
1024x768 floor with its never-built "too small" message.
