Root-fixes the opacity-modifier seed bug behind R10 S0: the theme colors were
bare `var(--x)` hex with no <alpha-value>, so `bg-accent/40`, `ring-accent/40`,
`border-border/60`, `text-muted/70`, … (~99 sites across 45 files) emitted no
CSS rule at all — latent no-ops. v4 implements the opacity modifier via
`color-mix`, so the modifier now works with the existing hex vars, no per-scheme
token duplication needed.
- `npx @tailwindcss/upgrade`: `@tailwind` directives → `@import "tailwindcss"`,
JS config → CSS `@theme` (colors, --font-sans, the z-index tokens preserved),
classname renames (rounded/shadow/blur scale, outline-none→outline-hidden,
ring→ring-2) across 56 files; PostCSS plugin → @tailwindcss/postcss,
autoprefixer removed (v4 prefixes for you).
- `@theme` → `@theme inline` (load-bearing): the color vars are redefined at
runtime under html[data-scheme]/[data-theme]; inline resolves them at the use
site so per-scheme opacity tints track the active scheme (the shadcn v4 pattern).
- Revert one codemod false-positive: it rewrote the English word "rounded" →
"rounded-sm" inside a releaseNotes.ts prose sentence.
Gate green: tsc(app+node) / eslint 0-err / prettier / vitest 79 / knip.
Verified in-browser: bg-accent/15 now computes a scheme-tracking color at 0.15
alpha across all 6 schemes × 2 themes; the hand-rolled glass border/shadow/
radius/backdrop-filter render unchanged under v4.
Reported: on iPad Brave a shared video's audio still stopped when backgrounded, while youtube.com
keeps playing. Root cause: routing the element's audio through createMediaElementSource pulls it out
of the normal media pipeline the browser's background-playback feature (and iOS) hooks into, and iOS
then suspends the AudioContext on background — the opposite of the goal. YouTube uses a plain media
element + Media Session and lets the browser background it. So drop the Web Audio graph entirely and
keep only the Media Session metadata + play/pause handlers, leaving native background handling in
charge. Frontend-only.
- og: guard safe_abs_path's None (missing/gc'd poster) before _jpeg_size, else the public /watch OG
render crashed with an uncaught AttributeError
- channels: hoist the priority step button to module scope so it no longer remounts on every
hold-repeat tick (which dropped the pointer capture and could let a hold run away on pointer drift)
- watch: only route audio through Web Audio on iOS (where a backgrounded <video> is suspended);
other platforms keep their reliable native audio, avoiding a foreground-silence risk if the
AudioContext can't resume
- share: drop the unstable `create` mutation object from the auto-create effect deps (it changes
every render); the links.data trigger + autoTried ref already fire it exactly once
The clipboard-on-focus finding is intended (the user explicitly asked for auto-paste on focus; the
read is best-effort and browsers reject it without a gesture, so no real prompt fires).
A shared /watch video stopped the moment you backgrounded the browser on iOS (Safari/Brave suspend a
<video>), while an audio-only share kept playing — the user wanted YouTube-style background playback
for video too. Route the element's same-origin audio through a Web Audio graph (once that graph is
live, iOS keeps the audio session running in the background while the frame freezes) and add Media
Session metadata + play/pause handlers for lock-screen controls. Set up lazily on first play (the
gesture an AudioContext needs) and only once. Best-effort — any unsupported bit falls back to the
plain <video>. Background continuation itself is an iOS behaviour only real-device UAT can confirm.
Prettier 3 (pinned), printWidth 100, double quotes — chosen to match the existing
hand-formatting and minimise reflow. This commit is ONLY the mechanical format pass
(`prettier --write`) plus the config/ignore/scripts, isolated so it never pollutes a
feature diff. Verified behaviour-neutral: typecheck, eslint (0 errors), and vitest
all green before and after. See .git-blame-ignore-revs — `git blame` skips this sha.
The standalone /watch share page was on a hard-coded slate/teal palette (it
renders outside <App> with no theme). Add a baseline theme (dark/midnight) in
main.tsx so the token CSS vars resolve on every route incl. the public pages,
then swap all of WatchPage's slate/teal/hex to theme tokens (bg-bg/text-fg/
text-muted/accent, surface/border), with the password card as glass. Now
consistent with the app's default look; the app still overrides with the user's
saved theme when it mounts.
Two visual gaps for non-catalog downloads:
- Channel link: YouTube already exposes channel_url; Facebook exposes none but a
numeric uploader_id that resolves at facebook.com/<id>. `_uploader_url` derives
it so the auto-detected channel renders as a real clickable link.
- Poster: a source with no thumbnail (e.g. a direct reddit HLS URL) showed a
blank image box. The worker now cuts a representative frame with ffmpeg
(`ensure_poster`) into the `<base>.jpg` sidecar and records `poster_path`
(migration 0050). The card, the public watch page (<video poster> + og:image),
and link previews fall back to it via new authed + public poster endpoints.
Adds `app.downloads.backfill` (one-off, re-run-safe) to fill uploader_url
(re-extract YouTube/Facebook metadata) and posters for pre-existing downloads.
The edit (pencil) action now edits a download's full display metadata — title,
channel name, channel link and any number of extra reference URLs — instead of
just the name. The channel and links render as clickable links on the library
card, and the channel link is auto-filled from the source (yt-dlp channel_url)
when available. Shared watch pages resolve the same per-download overrides, so a
rename/channel/link edit is reflected on the public /watch page too, with every
link clickable.
Adds migration 0049 (media_assets.uploader_url; download_jobs.display_uploader,
display_uploader_url, extra_links) and generalizes the rename endpoint into a
metadata update with URL validation. EN/HU/DE strings included.
A vertical/short clip rendered in a fixed full-width box with large black side
bars. The player container now uses w-fit + mx-auto and the video max-h/max-w, so
a portrait clip becomes a narrow centered player and a landscape clip fills the
width — no letterboxing either way.
Rework the share dialog into two clear modes and add the public /watch player page:
- ShareDialog: (A) 'Share with a user' — autocomplete picker over registered users (was a blind
email box that 404'd on non-users); (B) 'Share a link' — create/list/copy/revoke public links
with allow-download toggle, optional expiry (1/7/30d), optional password; per-link view count.
- WatchPage: standalone login-free player at /watch/<token> (routed in main.tsx like /privacy),
self-contained mini-i18n (en/hu/de by browser language); password gate → unlock → play; shows a
Download button only when the link allows it.
- api: ShareLink/ShareRecipient types + link CRUD + recipients; share i18n (en/hu/de).
Verified end-to-end in a real browser: user picker, link create, public playback, stream-only vs
downloadable, password gate + unlock, no console errors.
