YouTube reports a 24/7 stream's archive with the years it has run (prod: 122,962,914 s), and one
such video made the Watch later total read 44,073 hours. A length past a day is now no length
(`Video.length_seconds`, LENGTH_MAX_S): the API sends none, the playlist and channel totals
leave it out and count it as `live_without_length` ("+N live" beside the sum), and the duration
filter, sort and Home budget never match it. Migration 0117 moves the duration sort indexes onto
the length expression. An AST test holds who may still read the raw column.
The migration 0110 test now ends its read before the way down: 0117 builds an index
CONCURRENTLY there, which waited for that open transaction forever.
The closing popover hands the focus back to "+N" in a microtask it queues as it unmounts, after the
chip was focused (seen in Chrome; jsdom does not show it). A second focus, queued after it, wins.
- A tag counts the followed channels the Subscriptions tab shows: hidden ones are left out, and a
subscribe, unsubscribe, hide or tag toggle refreshes the count. The Tag manager's row and its
hover list count the same channels as the chip; /api/tags sends both counts under their names.
- A chip's count keeps the chip's colour after a dot (a dimmed count fell under 4.5:1). A pick in
the open "+N" fold closes it; a chip that leaves the list hands the focus to the one in its place.
The fold is a dialog of toggle buttons, not an empty menu.
- Upload: a folder name left by a press is made once the press is over, if the dialog is still
open, instead of guessing a dismissal from Modal's markup. While the folder is made, its place
holds the focus and a live region says so.
- Share: an expired link has no Copy and a warn badge; the link made on open goes into the cached
list, so a reopen makes no second one; the New link form survives the link made on open.
- Watch: a repeated Enter sends one unlock while one is on its way. See all buttons are named with
their rail.
- An unsized clip of a rotated file gets the upright size its crop cut.
- Share: a link that expired is never copied (the dialog and one-click Share pick a live one,
else make one), says it expired, and the copy-on-open claim clears on the next copy.
- A password-protected file link asks to open a file, not to watch a video.
- Upload: Cancel, the close button or the backdrop while naming a folder makes no folder; a failed
refetch keeps the target; a folder being made says so.
- Crop: an infinite number is dropped, not a 500; an unprobed clip's size follows a shown-size crop;
the edit_spec docs name frame_w/frame_h; the join and rotated paths are tested.
- Auto-skip: the wait gives way on a marker too short for it, so the skip still fires.
- Tag chips count the followed channels (subscribed_count) and a toggled chip keeps the focus.
- Continue watching's See all sorts by last watched when in progress was already on.
See all on Recently added opened Browse in whatever sort was last used, by title on the account it
was seen on. The share dialog said anyone can watch a link that may hold a zip.
The channel manager's tag chips carry a muted count. A Plex item's Info page names the file's size.
An auto-skip's countdown starts 3 s into the marker, with its button there from the start and a delay of
0 still immediate. Continue watching has a See all, opening Browse on in progress, last watched first;
Recently added's sets the watch state back so it opens what it says.
The upload dialog shows its target folder and can change it, with New folder in the same list; a
file never goes while a folder is being named or made. The share dialog puts the link on the clipboard
when it opens, says so only if the browser let it, and has Open in new tab beside Copy. A file's
format joins the line under its name.
The browser reports such a video by its shown size and ffmpeg's crop counts stored pixels, so a
frame over the middle half of a 320 stored, 640 shown video kept the whole width. A crop now carries
the size it was measured on and is scaled to the file's own pixels. A spec from before it did is cut
as it always was. Also drops a stale note in downloads/quota.py: edit jobs are held to the cap.
A quiet request leaves `live` alone, so a seek inside the old session's
range went native and the answer then jumped back to where it asked from.
`seek` now also goes by `pending`; the server-away retry had the same hole.
Comments that still named 404 for a lost session say 410, and the hls.js
retry comment now tells a finished playlist from a growing one.
A read with the same rows in another order never reached the screen: a
revert to YouTube, a sync or another device left the old order showing, and
the next write put it back on the server. With no write out on any list the
screen now takes it, and the undo history built on the old order goes. Own
reorders still keep theirs. This replaces the one flag all lists shared after
a rollback, and shows a reorder accepted after its list was picked again.
Also what the fourth review found: a list's reorders go one after the other,
a toast Undo asks for its place once the writes out have landed, an accepted
reorder keeps fresher rows from the cache, and a Play all disabled by the last
row going no longer strands the focus.
A reorder was invisible to the overlap bookkeeping: a failed removal reset the
screen from a cache without it, and the membership guard never corrects an order.
It now counts as a write, a rollback leaves the order to the read after the last
write, and the accepted order keeps the rows it does not name, as the server does.
Undo places come from the order on screen. A stored position landing during a write
reaches the screen, and what a read brought is taken once the refresh is in. A write
that went through drops its rows from the cache again, past a read from before it.
Closing the player after Trash took the row it opened from no longer strands the
focus: the row in that place takes it, else the header's box, else the list's menu.
The page menu's grouping row closes its menu when it goes with the view. One hidden
row gets its own wording. /search/clear refuses a body without its list.
A read from before a write no longer brings a row back: a write calls off the
read on its way, what lands while one is out stays off the screen, and the last
write out does the refresh. A failure puts back its own rows, an accepted reorder
brings back none, and an Undo reads past the cache. A list the cache has dropped
is read before a removal, so its Undo has places.
undo-move refuses the same list twice, positions cannot repeat, and undo-move
and the Plex key bodies refuse a body without their videos. Focus goes to the
header's box when the last shown row or Save this order goes.
An Esc during a pointer drag is spent on the drag and leaves the selection.
A wheel over the rail re-reads the target each frame, so a drop lands on the
row under the pointer. After a bulk removal the focus goes to the next row
left, and to the list's menu when the list is emptied.
remove-bulk names the videos that went, and its Undo brings back only those.
An Undo of a move keeps each row (and when it was saved), leaves out a video
that moved on from the target, closes up its place, and says how many came
back. Delete with every tick hidden removes nothing and says why. A list gone
before the lock answers 404, and a body without its videos 422.
One removal path now: the single row goes through the bulk one, the same
toast and undo, which also retires the add-at-position route. railDrop reuses
the store and scrollParent, the drag image the overlay and the z-index token,
and the sensors keep their number. The count is read out from a region that
outlives the band. Tests fill the gaps the review named, each seen failing.
A row's grip carries it, or every selected row with a selected one, onto another
list, under a sort or a filter too, and the toast undoes. The rail and the page
are separate React trees, so the page reads the rail by what lies under the
pointer. An unpinned rail peeks by the drag's own hover and scrolls at its edges.
Many rows dropped inside the list stay; a key still moves its own row.
Below xl Unsynced is its dot; on a phone the cover is gone, Play all is its
glyph, the band's count is its number and the undo pair stays out. The name was
0 px wide in Hungarian at 768 and on any phone, and a tick moved the list there.
Below xl the band's buttons are glyphs named in their tooltips, and the row it
replaces stays in the same grid cell, invisible, so the first tick leaves the
list where the second tap expects it. The test's row menu asked for the pins
unmocked, and the offline toast could land before the check: mocked.
While rows are selected the toolbar's second row is the band: the count,
the last target as one click, Move to, Remove, Clear selection. Both write
in one request and undo back to the places; a video the target held before
stays there. Delete takes the selection when there is one. A failure puts
the rows back ticked.
A row's own move goes through the same write, so it undoes too, and the
single-row move route and service function are gone. A playlist row drops
its grip below a 24rem table: the row menu keeps the moves.
A box first in every row and one over the column for the rows shown, the
selected row tinted. A filter keeps what it hides selected; another list
starts over; a row that left the list drops out. Watch later has none.
A box no longer counts as a typing target: a click on one left the focus
there and the page's keys went dead.
- A press that begins while a field in the row is edited only ends the editing (rowOpen latches it
at pointerdown); the card layout's row press is now tested.
- A related video reset in the player forgets the session's stored position.
- Removing the playing video passes over known-dead items and steps the way it went.
- Prev/Next off only because of dead items stay focusable and say why (HU/EN).
- The docked bar's scroller leaves room for focus rings.
- A focus-opened About card is not closed by its own scroll into view.
- EN "Clear watch progress" for the video reset, distinct from a page's "Reset view".
- The signed-out title read goes to the page yt-dlp read; the retitle writes are conditional.
- Tests: the cap of three errors, the bar's own Fullscreen, the group glyph, the backfill's reads.
Below xl the action row drops "Prio" (the stepper's tooltip names it) and
the Subscribed button's word (a check glyph; its name stays in the
aria-label). On an iPad at 820 px with touch-sized targets the tag lane
grows from 29 px, a sliver of its control, to 130 px.
The watch-state, content-type and sort pills on the feed, a channel page and
Plex Browse show a glyph where their group's word was; the word moves to the
tooltip and stays in the accessible name. Sort + View end the toolbar's row
instead of a row of their own, the chip row shows only with a chip, and a
channel page drops the count pill its header already carries.
Also logs the docked bar's glyph-only decision in DESIGN.md.
A table row (and its narrow card) can carry its object's default action:
a click or tap on the row runs it, a press on a control inside the row,
the click that ends a text selection and a drag do not.
The channel manager lists when each follow reached the list (the
subscription import that first saw it, or a subscribe made here) as a
sortable Added date after Last upload. The About cell's card opens after the
pointer rests on it for half a second instead of at once, and a scroll puts
an open one away.
The row that sets a video back to fresh (its state row and resume point both
go) was only on the feed's cards. It is now on Home's shelves, a Playlists
row's menu and the player's related list too, and is named "Reset view" /
"Megtekintés visszaállítása".
The value sweep wrapped two plain t() values in raw(), so the delete-user and the YouTube subscribe
confirms read "[object Object]" where the email or the channel was. tsc cannot see that seam, so a
syntax contract now refuses a notice value handed to t() and an already-said text kept in a notice.
The raw() doc says what it is: text kept as fetched (a Plex title in the language it was fetched in).
seasonTitleText's no-number branches are tested.
The center's rows (title, message, refusal, live button) were never rendered across a language
switch, and nothing held the structural compare that coalescing now needs. The channel-link helper
swallowed whatever ended its poll into a bare false: a link that goes away mid-look now counts as
not hit, and no hittable link fails with the poll's own message.
A formatted value took the reader's language even when the notice was said in English for the
log. The platform-namespace contract matched only t("…"), so a domain key passed through msg()
in components/ui/ went unseen. Three comments pointed at localizeDetail's old home.
An action label was translated when the notice was raised, so after a language switch a live
toast or center row read in one language with its button in the other. The access-requests nudge
no longer re-issues on a switch for it. New tests: the button and a server refusal follow a
switch.
A name goes in as raw(), a translated word as its own msg(): tsc now lists every value, and the
ones that froze are said when shown — Watch later and an untitled channel in the pin and channel
notices, a Plex season's name in its removal toast (a new seasonTitleText, which seasonTitle says).
A namesake in Earlier while the row itself was still in Needs you or Recent opened the fold, which took the place match away and left the name twice on the page: the focus fell to <body>. Row names are trimmed as Back saves them, so a title ending in a space still matches. Mark read handed the focus to a row that still said it was unread until the write landed; the row now reads read in the press's own render, and unread again if the write is refused.
The mask over a stale read lifted when the write settled, before the refetch landed, and the band took the rows back. A band holding only what asks by its kind (an access-requests nudge) left the button enabled with nothing to do. The unread dot was only drawn: the spoken label now says it, apart from the name Back finds the row by, and follows the row while it holds the focus.
It was a ghost button in body type under two uppercase section labels. It is now
the heading itself, its text the disclosure's button (24px tall, past the
WCAG 2.5.8 floor).
The center showed two fixed sections, the server's above this browser's, so an
admin's "access requests waiting" sat under every server row, week-old read
"Download ready" notices among them. One order now, for both sources
(lib/inboxOrder): "Needs you" (unread, an access-requests nudge, a notice
waiting on an interaction), then everything else newest first, and read rows
older than a week fold under "Earlier (n)", closed by default.
A row that asked in this visit keeps its place once read: marking it read no
longer moves it to another list under the reader. Mark all read empties the
band, the client notices of the visit included (the server rows read at once,
not when the write lands). Marking a row read from its button hands the focus
to the row instead of dropping it on <body> as the button goes.
- useUrlMirror: a change before the user has done anything since the load is the page settling (the
rail stepping off a playlist deleted since, Files off a folder gone), not another view: the reload
mark stays, and the player that reopens takes its entry over — one Back closes it, as before.
- useHistorySubview: an entry an older build wrote is a module's only when its _sub is the view the
address names under that module's key (the card's push kept the season's `v` beside its `m`).
- Playlists: the rail's default selection and the page's "the rail moved there" read one helper.
- moduleUrl contract: writer literals in a choice's branches are scanned too; the sub-view census
walks type arguments of any depth and refuses an aliased import.
- A stale comment on the nav press over a live search.
The entry's _sub now names its owner (_subOf, the module's address key). Signed out on a Plex season,
the sign-in card took the season for one of its modes and rendered a card with an empty button; the
other way round, Plex took the card's register view for one of its own. An entry an older build wrote
is read as the module's only when its address names one of that module's views.
- The Feed press over a live search ends only the search: the feed's own view stays named.
- Leaving a search steps back only off an entry the app pushed (_ytOwn); one a link or a reload
opened is cleared in place, also where the Navigation API is missing.
- useUrlMirror rewrites a changed view through replaceView, so a reload's overlay marks go; its
first write and its landing writes keep them for an overlay that reopens.
- Files and Playlists: a box emptied and filled again settles at once, never naming the ended search.
- Playlists: a linked player is scoped to the playlist the store started with, and only the rail's
own move to the first playlist is no pick.
- Contract: writer objects are scanned to their matching brace, a computed or shorthand key is
refused, and every useHistorySubview call hands a named definition.
- Lint: playwright/no-skipped-test also refuses fixme (gate snapshot regenerated).
- FEED_DEFAULT_SORT at the three remaining sites; linkedNotListed says to search by name.
- Playlists: a link over a playlist the account does not hold plays alone; the rail's own
fallback no longer counts as a pick that gives the player up.
- The linked opener opens or clears nothing once the address names another player, and stops
looking (and fetching its row) once it settled.
- Files: a list the server's cap cut — the sorted or searched one too — keeps the link, with a
notice of its own (EN/HU).
- History: an in-place view rewrite (search refine, count, channel to channel, sub-view)
drops a reloaded entry's overlay marks (replaceView); a landing on a channel opened from a
search keeps the search; the Feed press on a search opens the plain feed.
- Files/Playlists: an emptied search is written at once.
- Client log: plf/cf (column text filters) are typed keys; the shell has none of its own.
- Contract: writers outside lib/ take a literal or a lib/ function's result; every URL key is
sorted typed or not; the writer regexes are held by a fixture; sub-views named; the bookmark
net reads page tags.
- Feed defaults in one constant; one live-search queue helper; Scheduler writes through the
Activity codec; notRun copy (EN/HU) names Forward and a plain "Search YouTube" button.
- A URL mirror names the view again on every entry Back or Forward lands on, so a change made
under a dialog, a drawer or a sub-view is not undone by the next reload.
- A view pushed from the entry a reload under a dialog started from no longer inherits its overlay
mark; a reload under two overlays closes onto the page in one step.
- The linked player reopens over a live search, gives itself up when its list moves first, and
plays alone over an emptied playlist; a capped Files list keeps the link it cannot resolve.
- The Feed press over a channel ends the search; leaving a search ends its asked mark; Files and
Playlists searches end with their page; the feed always names its view and debounces its search.
- Search-box keys are declared per module and kept out of the client log below TRACE.
- Writers outside lib/ go through codecs; the URL contract scans computed keys, overlay writers and
two-line reads, and holds every page to a bookmark round trip (Config, Activity, Playlists and the
Files sort and viewer added).
A YouTube search is `?yt=<term>` (+ `ytn` for a non-default count), so a reload, a link
or Back/Forward reopens it. It runs by itself only where it costs no quota: the free page
scrape, a search asked for in this document, or results still cached. An API search
reopened any other way shows its term and waits for "Search YouTube again".
Home's time budget is `hb`; the question's draw stays on the history entry.
An e2e spec opens every page's bookmark in a fresh browser context; CLAUDE.md and
docs/development.md name the module URL codec as the place for view state.
The Plex player names the playlist it plays through (v=player:<id>:playlist:<pid>), so a bookmark
rebuilds the queue from the playlist's own order while the item is still in it.
Found in the browser and fixed:
- after a reload the shell's player opened a second one over Home and the feed: it read the catalog
row the page had fetched (a disabled query still reads the shared cache); it now waits for ready.
- every reload under an open overlay left a dead history step: the first overlay to open takes over
the entry the document was loaded on.
- the feed's address was implicit, the same as the start-page landing, so a reloaded or bookmarked
feed opened as Home: the feed now names itself (page=feed) like every page.
- a linked file or video that is gone was said, but stayed in the address and was said again on
every reload: its keys are taken off.
The overlay address is written in one place (the entry is named once it is current), and the player
keys only the codec reads are no longer exported.
The player names what it plays in its own history entry (watch, wrel, wtab): a reload or a
bookmark reopens it on the page that hosts it, with that page's list as the queue, or alone
from the catalog (GET /api/videos/{id}/row); a page that hosts none gets the shell's. Back
lands on the page's address without it (useBackToClose's url; ui/Modal passes it on). The
Files viewer and player do the same (fview, fplay). The Plex and channel-manager views are
always written in full, as their fallback is remembered state.
Settings, Configuration and Users name their tab (stab/cfgtab/utab); a link's tab wins and a tab pre-selected
while its page is on screen now switches it. A playlist's sort, filters and grouping (plsort/plf/plgroup), the
Files sort (fsort, always written) and the name searches of Channels, Files, Playlists and Plex (cq/fq/plq/pq+pqf)
reopen from the address; the searches are written once the typing pauses.
Opening a channel kept every key of the page under it (`?q=music&sort=oldest&chan=…`, a sort the
channel did not show), and the channel's own tab, sort and content types lived in its state alone, so a
reload or a bookmark lost them. Now the channel's address is `channelUrl`: the shell's keys and `chan`,
shared by `openChannel` and the channel link's href. The page writes its view (`chtab`, `chsort`,
`chtypes`, lib/channelPageUrlState) and reopens it; these are shell keys, cleared by a page switch and
by closing it in place. While a channel stands over a page, no module store writes its keys (`urlPage`);
Back finds them on the page's own entry. A link written by an older build opens without the page's keys.
