peter 4aaaaa7860 chore(comments): drop epic, sprint and review-round ids from the code
The code cited its plan instead of saying why: `E28 review J4`, `(R6 S3b)`, `S1 justified…`,
`deep-review round 5`. That plan lives in the private ops repo, so for every reader of this one the
citation was noise, and a sentence whose subject was the plan step ("round 2 showed…") hid its
lesson behind an id. Each one is gone and the "why" kept: a bare citation is deleted, a sentence
carrying a lesson is reworded around it ("a later attempt showed…").

Measured (`scripts/audit_metrics.py`, product code): 652 lines in 270 files carried an epic code by
the definition the next commit holds (507 / 241 by the old, two-digit-only one) -> 0. Across all
code, tests, scripts and configs: ~1100 epic-code lines plus ~320 sprint/round ids.

Behaviour unchanged, checked mechanically: every changed .py file has the same AST once docstrings
are blanked; css/sh/toml/yml/json files are identical once comments are stripped; the only
non-comment changes in TS/JS are test titles, one description string in a contract table, and five
ESLint messages, whose text is all the gates snapshot diff holds. Not touched: Markdown (docs and
the changelog keep their history), Alembic migrations, TV episode notation (`S2 · E5`), DESIGN.md
ids (`C1`, `B4`, `S3h`), tracker ids (`SEC-16`, `DX-17`).

One stale claim fixed on the way: test_hls_reaper's docstring said the player checkpoints "every
10 s whether or not it is playing", which plex/stream.py calls wrong; it now says what the code does.

peter 884060891e test: a handler that flushes a write and never commits it fails its test
Helpers flush and handlers commit — but every test request shared the test's session, so a
follow-up GET or an assertion read the flushed write and the suite stayed green over a handler
whose commit was missing (production's get_db closes the session: the write is rolled back behind
a 200). The db fixture now hands out `db.info["request"]`: the same session, recording each request
that ends normally with a flushed, uncommitted write, and failing the test on it at teardown. All
28 get_db overrides use it (a convention test keeps it so); the full suite passes under it, and
dropping the commit from add_item turns a playlist test red.

peter 8759b5860d test(be): every dependency override goes through override_dep
22 test files set `app.dependency_overrides[...]` by hand and tore down with a blanket `.clear()`
in a `finally`, which wipes every override rather than the test's own and stops fixtures composing.
They now take the `override_dep` fixture (helpers get it passed in), whose teardown restores each
key's prior value; no clear() carried meaning between two phases of a test. A convention test fails
any test file that writes `dependency_overrides` directly.

peter b1832afd18 style: apply ruff format across backend + scripts (line-length 100)
Mechanical, whole-tree `ruff format` pass — no behaviour change. Recorded in
.git-blame-ignore-revs (next commit) so git blame skips it.

peter d56a791c04 E5 S7: Plex filter UI — listbox-select pickers + studio filter
Reworks the always-expanded filter chip walls into compact, Seerr-style
"+ Add" → searchable-popover pickers (the user's space-saving ask), and adds
the missing studio filter.

- New MultiSelectChips: selected values as removable chips + a "+ Add" trigger
opening a searchable checklist (AnchoredPopover platform — menuitemcheckbox,
arrow/Escape, anchor flip). Options carry facet counts; a large vocabulary
renders a 50-row cap + "N more — refine with search" footer (studios run to
~1500). Replaces the flat Genre + Age-rating chip lists.
- New Studio filter via the same picker. Backend: /facets now aggregates the
studio vocabulary (distinct studio + count, self-excluded like genres). The
studio filter itself already existed (only addable from the detail page before).
- Collection converted to the same "+ Add" pattern (CollectionPicker): a
single-select popover with server-side search + the 50-cap; the selected
collection still shows as a removable chip. Retires the always-inline search+list.

New i18n plex.filter.studio/add/moreRefine + common.search/remove/noResults
(en+hu). Tests: MultiSelectChips.dom.test.tsx (5, incl. the cap) +
test_plex_facets studio-vocabulary. Browser-E2E'd: Genre→Horror(402),
Studio→A24(14, capped/searched), Collection→James Bond(26)/harry-search.
Gate: vitest 342, backend lane 403.

peter 921c2bf5a4 test(db): harden the DB lane per code-review (R6 S3)
/code-review high on S3 — 3 low findings, 2 fixed, 1 no-change:
- _db_reachable() now probes via a throwaway engine with connect_timeout=3, so a
slow/firewalled DATABASE_URL can't hang the whole suite at import (the app engine
  has no connect timeout).
- test_plex_facets sets the "configured" gate flag via monkeypatch (auto-restored)
instead of poking state._configured_cache in a manual finally — no leak risk, and
the now-unnecessary mark_configured DB write is dropped.
No change: test_plex_jsonb_normalize copying migration 0060's SQL is deliberate —
migrations must stay self-contained (no app imports) and a shipped migration is
immutable, so there's no real drift to guard against.

Gate: ruff clean; DB lane 176 passed; pure-logic 172 passed / 4 skipped (fast).

peter 39f726a5e6 test(db): /facets regression + S3a jsonb-null normalization (R6 S3)
First real customers of the DB lane:
- test_plex_facets: GET /api/plex/facets?scope=show returns 200 (not the
"cannot extract elements from a scalar" 500) for a show whose genres is a JSONB
  scalar `null` — the 0.53.1 read-guard's regression test. Mutation-checked:
removing the jsonb_typeof='array' guard turns it red with that exact error.
- migration 0060 (S3a): one-time UPDATE …=NULL WHERE jsonb_typeof=… 'null' over the
plex_items/plex_shows tag columns, so pre-0.53.1 JSONB-null rows become uniform SQL
  NULL and the read-guards go belt-only. test_plex_jsonb_normalize verifies scalar-null
→ SQL NULL while a real array is preserved.

Gate: ruff clean; DB lane 176 passed; pure-logic lane unchanged (skips the DB tests).
