Root-fixes the opacity-modifier seed bug behind R10 S0: the theme colors were
bare `var(--x)` hex with no <alpha-value>, so `bg-accent/40`, `ring-accent/40`,
`border-border/60`, `text-muted/70`, … (~99 sites across 45 files) emitted no
CSS rule at all — latent no-ops. v4 implements the opacity modifier via
`color-mix`, so the modifier now works with the existing hex vars, no per-scheme
token duplication needed.
- `npx @tailwindcss/upgrade`: `@tailwind` directives → `@import "tailwindcss"`,
JS config → CSS `@theme` (colors, --font-sans, the z-index tokens preserved),
classname renames (rounded/shadow/blur scale, outline-none→outline-hidden,
ring→ring-2) across 56 files; PostCSS plugin → @tailwindcss/postcss,
autoprefixer removed (v4 prefixes for you).
- `@theme` → `@theme inline` (load-bearing): the color vars are redefined at
runtime under html[data-scheme]/[data-theme]; inline resolves them at the use
site so per-scheme opacity tints track the active scheme (the shadcn v4 pattern).
- Revert one codemod false-positive: it rewrote the English word "rounded" →
"rounded-sm" inside a releaseNotes.ts prose sentence.
Gate green: tsc(app+node) / eslint 0-err / prettier / vitest 79 / knip.
Verified in-browser: bg-accent/15 now computes a scheme-tracking color at 0.15
alpha across all 6 schemes × 2 themes; the hand-rolled glass border/shadow/
radius/backdrop-filter render unchanged under v4.
Extend lib/queryKeys.ts to the remaining ~34 key roots and migrate every
remaining literal (queryKey: [...] AND the positional useLiveQuery keys) in
36 files. All ~200 React Query keys across the app now route through the
factory; zero raw key literals remain outside queryKeys.ts.
The heterogeneous composite plex keys (plex-library/facets/collections/
playlists carry a filters object, a ratingKeys array, or a union/group
discriminator) take a variadic pass-through — the factory centralizes the
ROOT string; single-id keys stay precisely typed. Nullable keys (thread,
playlist, ytSearch) accept null so a null segment is preserved.
Pure substitution — byte-identical key arrays, so TanStack prefix matching
is unchanged. Gate green: typecheck (app+node+e2e), eslint (0 err),
prettier, 68 vitest. Runtime-verified on a fresh dev server: Feed + Plex
modules load, feed/facets/tags/my-status/plex-library/plex-facets/
plex-collections/plex-playlists all 200, full UI renders.
Enable noUncheckedIndexedAccess and fix all 98 call sites it surfaced across 18
files. Every fix is behaviour-preserving — the flag flagged reads TypeScript
couldn't prove in-bounds, all of which were already guarded by a length/index check,
a findIndex result, or a non-empty invariant:
- read-once so a ternary's narrowing sticks (Feed overrides, linkify mention);
- non-null assertion AFTER an existing guard (PlayerModal/VideoEditor queue+cut-list
indexing, modules step, useUndoable stacks) with a comment stating the invariant;
- nullish fallback where undefined is a real possibility (GlassTuner slider ?? def,
ConfigPanel active group ?? [], descriptionLinks id ?? null);
- optional chaining where the entry genuinely can be absent (PlexBrowse IO entry);
- a non-empty tuple type for the RELATIVE_UNITS constant (encodes "always has [0]").
The single highest-leverage fix: PlayerModal's `active` became `queue?.[index] ??
video` (always Video), clearing 34 of the 45 errors in that file at once. Verified:
tsc/eslint/prettier clean, 56 vitest + 34 pytest + 17/17 e2e green (the e2e suite
exercises the feed/player/channel components touched here).
Prettier 3 (pinned), printWidth 100, double quotes — chosen to match the existing
hand-formatting and minimise reflow. This commit is ONLY the mechanical format pass
(`prettier --write`) plus the config/ignore/scripts, isolated so it never pollutes a
feature diff. Verified behaviour-neutral: typecheck, eslint (0 errors), and vitest
all green before and after. See .git-blame-ignore-revs — `git blame` skips this sha.
Replace ~48 magic z-index values (z-10..z-[9999] + 2 inline zIndex) with named
tailwind zIndex tokens (base/menu/chrome/paneltab/panel/rail/overlay/popover/
tooltip/tuner). Values are UNCHANGED — a rename, not a renumber — so layering is
identical; the names give one source of truth for the stack.
Medium container surfaces -> the glass system so they refract the backdrop
consistently: Playlists row (bg-card->glass-card), DownloadCenter user-picker +
ShareDialog share-picker dropdowns (bg-card->glass-menu), DownloadCenter stat
cards / download rows / usage block, ShareDialog share-link block, VideoEditor
selection bar, ProfileEditor profile rows (bg-card/40|bg-surface/60->glass-card).
Tight admin rows and tiny inputs left solid on purpose.
The standard input style was copy-pasted verbatim into 5 components
(DownloadCenter/DownloadDialog/ProfileEditor/ShareDialog/VideoEditor) and the
text-button style into 2 (ShareDialog/VideoEditor). Export both from ui/form.tsx
and import them. Byte-identical strings → no visual change.
The settings-family panels (Settings/Config/Setup/Welcome) use a DIFFERENT input
style (bg-card/rounded-xl/focus:border-accent); unifying the two is a design call
left to the glass-consistency epic, not this DRY extract.
Found during the Phase-2 Downloads-frontend review:
- VideoEditor: onLoaded now reconciles the still-pristine full-length segment to the
REAL decoded duration (its guard `end<=0` was dead since the metadata srcDur is
always >0). Without this the untouched last segment kept the rounded metadata
length, so isFullSingle read false and "Create" was enabled on an unmodified
video — producing a bogus edit that dropped the tail.
- DownloadCenter: fall back to the "queue" tab when a persisted tab (e.g. admin-only
"system") isn't in the current set, instead of rendering a blank page.
- VideoEditor: reencode = cropOn || accurate (was a no-op `willJoin ? accurate : accurate`).
tsc clean. GUI-affecting → pending an E2E visual test (needs an authed localdev
session) before user UAT. Cross-cutting UI-consistency cleanup deferred to Phase 3.
The hover-scrub thumbnail was centered on the cursor with a fixed -translate-x-1/2, so near the
filmstrip's right (or left) edge it overflowed the modal and triggered a horizontal scrollbar. Now
its left edge is clamped to [0, trackW - popoverW] so it shifts inward at the edges and stays fully
within the viewport. Verified at both edges in a real browser.
Rework VideoEditor around a segment cut-list: N draggable cut markers → segments, per-segment
keep/drop (eye toggle + dropped hatch), output = Separate files (one job per kept segment) or
Join into one (segments cut-list → one concatenated file). Per-segment numeric Start/End inputs.
Filmstrip fixed: aspect-correct tiles (no vertical squish) + YouTube-style hover-scrub thumbnail
from the sprite. EditSpec.segments type; editor v2 i18n (en/hu/de). Verified end-to-end in a real
browser (3-segment split, drop middle, join → 0:12 clip from a 0:19 source).
VideoEditor modal on a finished Library download: HTML5 <video> scrubber, filmstrip timeline
(lazy server storyboard sprite) with draggable in/out handles, draggable/resizable crop overlay,
per-edit Precise (re-encode) vs Fast (stream-copy) cut toggle, split-into-N fan-out (N trim jobs),
optional clip name. Edited clips show a 'Clip' badge; 'editing' phase gets a % bar. New api
enqueueEdit/downloadStoryboard/storyboardImageUrl + EditSpec type; editor i18n (en/hu/de).
